A special invitation from our President, John Sharp:

As we reach the end of 2016 and the half-way point of this Rotary year it is time to reflect on our achievements, relax and rejuvenate during our recess and return to continue "Making a Difference" in 2017.

This barbecue / picnic is an opportunity to reconnect with old friends as well as meet new ones, to reflect on the pleasures of the festive season and inspire each other to greater service.

Please bring your partners, family and friends.  Prospective members very welcome.

Wishing you all a healthy, safe & rewarding New Year and hoping to see you there.

A few happy snaps from our 2016 Welcome Back picnic / barbecue:

ROTARY SPECIAL MONTHS:    JANUARY is VOCATIONAL SERVICE MONTH

You are invited to the

SALA THAI RESTAURANT

at 6.30pm on Monday 23rd January

Rod Rate has arranged a special night out at the Sala Thai Restaurant (22 Norfolk St in Fremantle) that sponsors our Charity Golf day.

We have a private room that caters for 40 people and we will enjoy a special banquet meal with each table receiving:

Entrees:

Vegetable Fried Spring Roll

Grilled Chicken Satay

Chicken Curry Puffs

Mains:

Green Chicken Curry

Stir-fry Beef with Ginger n Paprika

Pad Thai noodles with Pork

Stir-fry Mixed Vegetables

Steamed Jasmine Rice

Dessert:

Mixed Seasonal Fruit Platter

The price will be $30 per person and this will be collected by a member of RCA during the evening.

If anybody wishes to choose a different dessert or have coffee, they will be required to pay management separately.

The restaurant is BYO wine only, but wine and beer can be bought from the restaurant.

Corkage is $5 per bottle and this will also be collected on behalf of management.

The room will only hold 40 people so it is going to be ‘first in best dressed’.

Reserve your place by phoning Rod on 93397899 or 0411097333 or email him.

SUNDOWNER AT McCULLOCH’S

Everyone is invited to a Sundowner at the McCulloch residence at 64 Stock Road, Attadale, on Monday, January 30th from 6.00pm.  Pop this date in your diary and we will give you full details in our next bulletin.

CRABBING DAY CHANGED TO SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5th

Due to unforeseen circumstances, it has been necessary to postpone the Annual Crabbing Day for one week.  The good news is the crabs are pretty slow in Mandurah at the moment so an extra week should see better catches.

ANNUAL CRABBING DAY

All members, past and present, and partners and friends are invited to the annual crabbing day that will now be held on Sunday, February 5th, at Jim and Jenny Calcei's Mandurah house at 11 Janis Street, Old Hall's Head.

If you would like to be on a boat and help with the crabbing, see Jim or give him a ring on 0418 926 601 to reserve a place on a boat or just take your chances and rock up by 7.45am.

Other guests are invited to arrive later in the morning.  The boats should be returning around 11.00am and the cooking should be under way by 11.30.  The feast should start sometime after 12.00 so make sure you are there by then.

What to bring?

Please bring your own drinks and eskies.

Please bring a salad or a dessert to share.

This is always a great day out so don't miss it!
