Holidays, Holidays, Holidays!

It's that time of year when members take off on holidays to all parts of the state, country or overseas.  This year Ian has been monitoring the number of members who won't be available for meetings and the executive has decided that there will be so many members away that we will be best served by having an extended summer recess and resuming normal meetings on February 8th.  This was conveyed to members in an email from John Sharp on December 30th:

"Due to a large number of members being absent in the next month it has been decided to call a summer recess throughout January (including 1st Feb) for the Rotary Club of Attadale.

Our next official meeting at Tompkins on Swan will be 8th February. The “Welcome back picnic barbecue at Heathcote” on January Monday 11 will still go ahead for those able & willing to attend."

Members will be able to get together at Heathcote on January 11th and at the sausage sizzle on January 17th.

They can also join the golfers on Thursday mornings for golf or just a coffee afterwards.

Members are also encouraged to attend a meeting at another club and report back (briefly) on any interesting ideas and differences with our meetings.

Farewell to Jan Fairclough

PRM Property Charity Golf Day

This event will be held on

 April 1st 2016

The first meeting with the organising committee was held at RFGC on December 17th, 2015.

Second Headwest Sausage Sizzle

Colin and Gail enjoyed helping the delightful staff from Headwest run another Sausage Sizzle on Friday January 18th.

Unfortunately Friday's are not as busy as the weekends but we sold 313 SSs and 99 drinks for a profit of $654.46.  We presented $350 to Headwest and banked $304.46 for our charity account.

The staff were very appreciative of the help from Attadale RC and we look forward to helping them again next year.  Hopefully they will be able to get weekend dates which are more profitable.
